- Union County, FL. Written By: Kyrin Mayfield In high school baseball, players have much to improve, especially in fielding because of the increase in field size from Little League. Because of this, victory often comes to the team that makes the fewest mistakes, specifically errors. A perfect example of this can be found in a baseball game between the Union County Tigers and the Atlantic Sharks on Friday. After starting 0-7, the Tigers have been heating up going 2-2 in the next four games. They scored at least six runs in three of those four after scoring no more...

- Union County, FL. Written by: Kyrin Mayfield Small town high school sports are a thing of beauty. The community supports the teams well, and it shows with the crowd size and energy brought to each game. This past Friday, the Class 1A Union County Tigers hosted the Madison County Cowgirls for a friendly game of softball. It’s been a rough season for the Tigers. Gainesville, FL. Written by: Kyrin Mayfield. The Florida Gators played the rival Florida State Seminoles in baseball on this past Tuesday night. Whether a humorous coincidence or clever scheduling, on Wednesday the Gainesville-Buchholz Bobcats hosted the Chiles Timberwolves from, you guessed it, Tallahassee. As convincing as the final score may seem, the Knights actually got off to a slow start. Bobcats running back, Quandarius Smith got things rolling with a touchdown run on the Bobcats opening drive. That would be the last time the Bobcats were in front. After a blocked PAT, the Knights only...

- Gainesville, FL. Written By: Wes Trotta Thursday night’s game between the Bishop Moore Hornets and the Eastside Rams was a wild back and forth battle that ultimately left the Hornets leaving Citizens Field with a 45-44 win over the Rams. Head coach for the Hornets, Matt Hedrick, came into this game with one plan. Run the ball. Malachi Rennie carried out Hedrick’s plan, successfully, and all night. Rennie got the Hornets up early on a run to the outside where he flashed his speed to the edge and his power to run through a defender at the pylon. Up...
